"Janelle worked under me at Camp Sloane YMCA over the course of two summers. She demonstrated excellent dedication to her work and connected with the campers like no other. We internally promoted her from counselor to waterfront director, entrusting her to run all of the camp swimming programs. Janelle is organised, passionate, and patient. These traits make her somebody I can count on to get her job done while also ensuring camper safety. Janelle also knows how to inject fun into daily activities when possible. I have seen many kids leaving swim lessons not only having learned new skills, but also gaining confidence and having a good time."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have five years of professional childcare experience including being a kindergarten teaching assistant, nanny, sleep away camp counselor, and mostly recently, running the swimming program for Camp Sloane YMCA. As a camp counselor, I cared for children ranging from 8-17 in the sleep away program and as young as 4 in the day camp program.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am an artist and so any creative activity or craft. I love going to museums and bringing along some art materials to sketch what we see. I also am a swim instructor and have been teaching children how to swim for five years. I love board games and puzzles and am always down to play pretend.
The most important part about being a nanny...
is keeping the kids safe. Ideally we have fun and they learn something as well along the way.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked as a temporary teaching assistant for a kindergarten class in which 1/3 of the students were on the Autism Spectrum. I was trained by the primary teacher on how to better aid these students in their learning. Also, the sleep away camp I worked at welcomes campers with special needs. I have experience living with and teaching these campers, creating a magical experience with their sensory and emotional needs in mind.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Was when I heard that one of the kids I took care of wanted to also get into childcare because of me. I was taking care of a 14 year old in 2021 and she reached out to me last year saying that she wanted to make an impact in kids lives the way I did in hers. This meant a lot to me and I gave her advice on how to get into childcare positions.

I’m a 23-year-old from Sioux City, Iowa, where I was born and raised alongside my three siblings. I have a deep love for nature and enjoy spending time outdoors whenever I can. I’m especially close to my dog, Apollo, a German Shepherd mix. I take pride in my patience, especially when working with children. Currently, I work as a paraprofessional in a high school, supporting students with special educational and behavioral needs. In my free time, I enjoy trying new foods and listening to music.

I am originally from California. I got into nanny because it came natural to me. My grandmother and mother ran a day care from the house, so I've always been around kids. I have over 10 years experience with children from newborn infant up to 8 years. I consider myself a calm person but I have learned how to set healthy boundaries with kids. I can help your children learn organizational skills, routine, cooking, and enjoying life. I can also speak Spanish and Sign Language intermediate, and have a clean driving record.

Hi! My name is Cha'lmah, and I'm a caring, responsible, and patient sitter who genuinely loves working with children. I enjoy being a sitter because I get to support kids as they learn, grow, and feel safe while their parents are away. I'm currently a college freshman on a Pre-Med trac and I've spent years working with children in both school and after-school settings.
I have hands-on experience with kids ages 1 - 15 through my role as an afterschool counselor where I helped with homework, led activities, and created a positive, structured environment. I've also worked as a teacher's assistant and youth volunteer which strengthened my communication, organization, and leadership skills.
I'm dependable, engaging, and great at balancing fun with responsibility. Whether it's helping with schoolwork, doing crafts, playing games, or keeping routines on track, I always aim to make kids feel supported and parents feel confident.
