More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a nanny for a family of 4 kids for many years, I was also the go-to babysitter for most people in my town in SC.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing art with kids, practicing fine motor skills. I enjoy going to parks, walking and playing and of course reading books.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Number one: making sure the kid is safe, not putting things in their month that shouldn't go there, not running into the street, or corners, etc.
Number two: making sure that their needs are being met, being feed, clean, and getting enough sleep.
Number three: Putting effort into their quality of life, having activities, learning skills, being kind, and being creative.

My experience with special needs children...
I was a special ed teaches assistant, I also took care of many special needs kids as well as having family members with special needs. Also my mother is a special ed teacher.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many!! Anytime one of my kids learned a new skill, they were just so eager to show me, weather it was a joke they just heard or cartwheel. seeing them get excited always made my day!

Babysitter Available in Portland, OR: Kimberley P.
Hi! I'm a Grandma of 4 grandsons who are all teenagers now and I desperately miss caring and playing with infants. I moved from Iowa to Portland in the summer of 2024, but prior to moving, I was a part time nanny for a beautiful family. I started with their first baby at 3 months of age and they had their second baby boy when he was 11 months old. I continued nannying for them up until I relocated to Portland. It was incredible having 2 little boys to care for again!
I also worked with newborns in labor and delivery, pediatrics and NICU at Unitypoint St. Luke's in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for over 20 years as a nursing assistant.
So, needless to say, I'm really missing having that baby contact!

Live-In Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Portland, OR: Jane R.
Hey yall my name is Jane! It’s nice to meet you too (: I am looking to work preferably as a live in nanny but will do whatever. I am a 20 yr old college student at PSU and have lots of childcare experience. My family grew up fostering kids since I was around 10 and naturally being the oldest I learned a lot. I’ve dealt with children as young as 6months and as old as 12 but open to all ages. I am a pretty keep to myself person and don’t need alot to get by. I love to cook, try to things, the outdoors (duh of course it’s portland!), read, and dance. I’m from California but and moving to Portland in the next couple of weeks hopefully. I would love to answer any questions (or comments maybe) y'all have look forward to hearing back!

Full-Time Nanny Available in Portland, OR: Samayiah P.
I love to participate in arts & crafts and i feel like all kids should be allowed to also. It’s a way of showing emotion and having fun at the same time, while growing their imagination which is an important part of children’s development. I love to explore nature, and view parts of our world that are so beautiful. Even if it’s just playing in the grass🌳🌈 I am a very easy going person, full of love and laughter. I am a high school student, but i do want to work with children in my future, and continue nannying through my college years. I feel i am a reliable, respectful, on time, and a flexible supportive person.
Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Portland, OR: Ra Anne S.
I have 3 years of official childcare experience and am also a full-time mother. I will, and am open to, recertify my cpr and first aid. I am also open to being able to drive your children after the first 30 days, as I prefer to understand the temperament of your children as far as travel. I have been caring for children in many different capacities voluntarily since I was very young; I helped raise my own baby sister. I am looking to move to Portland and am open to live-in availability. I prefer evenings and two additional days off so I may have personal time with my daughter who will be accompanying me. I am a loving disciplinarian type who loves adventures and new experiences. I am able to help with ALL AGES.

My name is Darla and I am originally from the east coast, but have been living in Oregon for the last 4 years.
I have a vast background of working in childcare and find it so exciting to connect with children where they're at and encourage them to be themselves, channel their inner creativity, and laugh till it hurts!
When I'm not nannying your kiddo(s), I am usually at home with my partner and cat, checking out local coffee shops, and photographing weddings!
I hope to have the chance to chat more soon!

Full-Time Nanny Available in Portland, OR: Emerald D.
Hello, I’m Emerald, I’ve worked with kids since my early teens, and have years of experience with kids of all ages in single families, nanny-shares, and daycare facilities.
I studied child development in college and love to put my skills to use caring for children from infants to school-age. I believe it takes a village to raise happy, healthy kids and it’s so beneficial for them to have multiple trusted adults in their life that they can trust and look up to. I currently specialize in infants/toddlers but love every stage of development! Read-aloud/creative imagination games are my forte, and I love to encourage emotional regulation and healthy development through age-appropriate activities. I’m well-versed in weaning/potty-training, as well as all the other fun milestones. I enjoy exploring the world with kids (visiting the library, zoo, etc) to encourage self-confidence/confidence in their community. I am pet-friendly/have no pet or food allergies. I am CPR/first aid certified.
