I had been a teacher for 3rd graders (8 and 9 year olds) at my temple. I have cared for my 4 and 5 year old cousins. I have cared for my 10 year old sister. And i have cared for two other 3 and 5 year olds!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
board games or games of any time (card, charades, etc...). Any type of sports (baseball, soccer, basketball). Cooking. Or just the simple watching tv.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It’s important the children see you as a friend but also as an authority in a sense. I’m completely down for fun and games but respect as well as trust are necessary and i believe the nanny has to earn both of those by being both fun when needed but also stern when necessary.

I remember talking to my 5 year old boy after i had completed a massive writing assignment for my junior year of high school. I read him my entire paper because he had asked to hear it and after i had finished he said “you didn’t actually write that”.I thought it had been a bit of a put down but i ended up taking it as a compliment for my writing.
