A little bit about us

Looking for a nanny for our 6 month old girl starting September. We would like someone with experience taking care of babies that age, who can follow a set routine (hoping baby will be sleep trained by then!) and experience with weaning as I will be returning to work. A plus if they can drive baby to activities, play dates etc (ideas for activities/classes welcome as we only moved to the US/Dallas recently and still discovering all these!).

⁃ 50hrs/week with a contract.
⁃ Uptown Dallas
⁃ Duties: Childcare, children’s laundry/iron, lunch prep and kitchen clean up.
⁃ Nothing scheduled yet but potentially we might need the nanny to accompany us once a year on a vacation.

I am working from home full time so I will be around most of the days unless travelling. I plan to use a payroll company to handle contracts and payroll.

If you are interested please DM me a resume and references so we can schedule an interview.

Thank you!

A little bit about us

Hello I am a single father working 2 jobs trying his best to provide for his children. I have a beautiful 1yr old boy Jeramy Jr aka JJ as well as a 5yr old princess Jasmyne Anaiyah aka Jazzy or Belly. My biggest concern is my 5yr old currently has issues speaking so communication issues will be there. I am looking into a speech therapist as well as have her evaluated for autism, but I also believe there may be someone who just has a teaching mechanism I may not know. My children are a pure delight very energetic and fun. Looking forward to finding someone myself and my children can trust & love them as much as I do. My time for services will be between the hours of 10am-10pm not exactly sure on the exact time at this moment. Thank you

A little bit about us

Hello! I am expecting a baby boy in Feb 2022 and will be needing some form of childcare after my maternity leave. Am looking to interview nannies and find someone who fits our budget and lifestyle. We are parents who both work management in the restaurant industry so flexibility is a must for us. Primary responsibilities would be childcare for our baby Theo and maybe some light housecleaning. We have two big dogs who are sweet good pups but need someone who’s not afraid to be stern and tell them no lol.
CPR and First Aid certifications would be nice but not necessary. Would even consider paying for those certificates for the right person. Schedule would probably be during the week about 4 days hopefully from hours 11-5. We won’t know specific scheduling until we get closer to that time period.
Thank you!

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Dallas. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions , it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.

How to Interview for a Nanny Job in Dallas, TX

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here is a list of some nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What do you think children like best about you?
  • What kind of activities will you do with children this age?
  • How do you handle problems that arise behaviorally and emotionally with kids this age?

Beyond answering questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
