A little bit about us

Hello!
I am a single mother of 4and one on the way. With this being my 5th pregnancy I have been put on bed rest and sadly can’t do the things that I am usually able to do with my little ones. My oldest is 9 years old and I have 3 under 3 that are the ages of 3, 2, and 9 months. My 3 year old Ellie is Autistic so I’m in need of someone that is compassionate, patient, and understanding, preferably someone that has some experience. I’m open to having someone to come in and help me gain some structure. I’ll be here most of the time but as I said before I’m not really able to do much due to my condition which I will touch more on with whom ever is taking on this job.

A little bit about us

We have three sweet, fun, and curious little ones (ages 4, 2, and 3 months) and are looking for an amazing Nanny / Household Assistant to join our family and hopefully grow with us for years to come (our nanny of 4 years is moving on to becoming a mom of her own)! Our kids love being outside, exploring, staying active, and going on adventures.

All three kids are in a 5-day weekday school program from 9 AM–2 PM, so this role is a 50% childcare / 50% household support position. While the kids are at school, a significant part of the role will include household cleaning, family laundry, tidying, organizing, meal prep, errands, and special projects. We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and a self-starter who sees what needs to be done and jumps in.

When the kids are home, the focus shifts to childcare, including infant care, play, meals, school drop-offs/pick-ups, and driving to tutoring, after-school activities, swim, dance, parks, museums, playdates, and other fun outings. If a child is sick, school is closed, or the kids are on break, the schedule and responsibilities will adjust and childcare will become the priority.

Typical schedule is Monday–Thursday approximately 8 AM–11:30 AM & 2–7:30 PM and Friday 8 AM–11:30 AM & 2–5 PM. Flexibility is key! Occasional nights, weekends, and overnights may be needed for work events, school events, date nights, parent travel, or other family needs.

Candidates must have infant/multiple-child experience, current CPR training, U.S. work authorization, excellent references, a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle that can safely accommodate three car seats.

We love to travel and would love someone excited to travel with us! Opportunities may include domestic and international trips.

We're looking for someone loving, energetic, hardworking, flexible, and dependable who enjoys both children and keeping a busy household organized and running smoothly!

A little bit about us

We are looking for a great loving nanny for our 3 children in Cypress that we can integrate into our growing family. Have to speak English! We prefer someone who takes pride in their work and comes with experience and references. Someone who can do children’s laundry folding and putting away the laundry. Someone who is good at organizing, keeping spaces tidy and meal prepping. Arts and crafts with the kids and activities. We would prefer a nanny who does not smoke, who is comfortable with pets, we have a sweet standard golden doodle. You have to be CPR certified. My husband and I like occasional date nights so looking for someone who can come twice a month Friday or Saturday evenings. The schedule from 2-9pm will change at the beginning of November and will be 8:30am-5pm. Also, both toddlers are at preschool Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s from 9am-2pm.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Houston. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions , it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.

How to Interview for a Nanny Job in Houston, TX

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here is a list of some nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What do you think children like best about you?
  • What kind of activities will you do with children this age?
  • How do you handle problems that arise behaviorally and emotionally with kids this age?

Beyond answering questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative.
