Hi there . . . We are looking for someone to help take care of my special needs grandson several afternoon/evenings a week (Tues/Thurs) from 3:30-800p . . . If you are interested in extra hours, you could also work 4 hours on a Saturday - or Sunday . . .
My grandson was born with Down Syndrome and mild autism. He needs someone who can help take care of his physical needs (food and diapers) - AND who wants to interact with him off and on - since he is also good at playing by himself. He is non-speaking (does not speak with words yet) but is verbal. He does have ABA therapy coming into the home 25 hours a week - to help him with daily tasks - and to learn how to communicate.
Over the past 4 years, we have slowly been building a "village" of caregivers - and hope to find more caregivers to join our "family."
We want someone who is interested in learning how to play and interact and with my grandson in different ways:-) He loves books and toys with music and lights. He also likes swinging in the back yard - as well as going for walks in his special needs wagon.
We also need someone who is NOT ALLERGIC to cats - and DOES NOT SMOKE.
Please do reach out and get in touch with us if you are interested in meeting my grandson - and his family.
Thanks
Pam
