A little bit about me
I have been certified in infant/child/adult first aid and CPR consistently since 2017, and I have renewed my certification every 2 years. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and am a certified Wellness Coach in the state of California, trained to work with children with varying mental health needs.
I cook, clean, am very active (having been in multiple varsity sports), went to a Waldorf school (thus am familiar with holistic educational techniques), play guitar & piano, and I paint.
I have experience working with children with a range of neurodiversity, including behavioral challenges, developmental disorders, and mood disorders. I have tutored children with autism since 2021.
I am currently doing my MS in Applied Psychology at the University of Southern California - my classes are largely online, making my availability very open.

A little bit about me
I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported. I create a warm, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and build confidence through play, creativity, and positive relationships.
As both an educator and a parent, I understand the importance of trust, communication, patience, and consistency. Families often describe me as dependable, compassionate, organized, and easy to work with. I especially enjoy helping children build confidence, kindness, and social-emotional skills.
I am CPR and First Aid certified, a mandated reporter, and committed to providing a safe and positive experience for every child in my care. I am currently seeking childcare opportunities while attending UC Berkeley and before beginning my internship.
I look forward to connecting with your family!

A little bit about me
I’ve had a passion for working with children from a young age. In high school, I volunteered in a program for student parents, caring for children ages 1–4. I also babysat and nannied during summers, gaining around six years of experience overall.
I’ve worked with kids from 6 months to 8 years old and have cared for up to five children at once. Most recently, I worked at a preschool, mainly with ages 2–5, and also supported the infant room (4 months to 1 year) as a floater teacher.
I’m looking to return to part-time childcare and am available Monday–Thursday. I love creating a safe, nurturing space where kids can grow and have fun. I also enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading, music, and watching fun shows with them.

A little bit about me
I can provide my own transportation and am capable of picking up and dropping off when it comes to extracurriculars. As a senior in high school I am available during the week anytime after 3pm, but on weekends I am completely free. I love dogs and cats so I can of course help to take care of any pet related necessities.
Most importantly I’m hardworking, kindhearted, responsible, and someone you can trust to ensure the safety of your child!

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in San Jose, CA
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in San Jose can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
San Jose Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in California?
- Do you have a California driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
