Location: Bantam, CT
Parental Situation: Mother and Father have full time jobs, with both their offices based in NYC. Primarily telecommuting, but with travel to NYC/other cities for work. At least one parent home between 80% to 90% of the time on any given weekday.
Seeking: An engaging child-care provider with experience working with children of elementary/middle school age. Preference for a care giver that has past experience with food allergies and also children with learning disabilities/anxiety. Other details include:
- This will be a non-live-in situation, preferably with someone that is college educated and has the ability to assist children with their homework.
- Primary childcare need is help during afternoon to early evening, as parents complete the workday; however, hours can vary and we are willing to consider a part-time or full-time position to provide further flexibility and to help with coverage on school half days, etc.
- Responsibilities also include:
o Help with meal preparation for children
o Ability to transport children to after school activities in Bantam/Litchfield, carpooling whenever sensible; the use of our family car will be made available.
o Offer guidance on homework whenever needed
o Occasionally perform evening babysitting duties as well
o Moderate house cleaning duties related to the children (i.e., kids’ meal clean-up, kids’ laundry, and light food shopping primarily to prepare meals for children).
- Comfortable managing a child with a food allergy is critical.
- Compensation: $$ will be commensurate with experience and is negotiable
