About Our Family
We are a warm family expecting our second child this fall. Our 3-year-old attends school during the day, and one parent is typically home. We’re looking for a dependable, proactive family assistant to join us long-term and help keep our home running smoothly while also providing childcare support.
Role Overview
This is a hybrid family assistant role combining household support and childcare. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping a household function smoothly and is also fully confident caring for children when needed.
There will be times when childcare takes priority and times when household support takes priority. I will help provide direction as needed, but we are looking for someone who is comfortable flexing between both responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Household Support
Daily kitchen reset (dishwasher, bottles, counters)
Family and baby laundry (wash, fold, organize)
General tidying and organization of common areas + toys
Light meal prep and snack prep
Keeping household supplies stocked as needed
Household maintenance and organization (not deep cleaning)
Childcare Support
Caring for infant during scheduled times
Assisting with bottles, feeding, naps, and diaper changes
Occasional toddler care when needed
Supporting smooth transitions throughout the day
What We're Looking For:
Prior experience with infants and toddlers
Calm, and dependable presence
Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working alongside a parent
Able to confidently manage both children when needed
Interested in a long-term position with our family
Compensation
$30/hour
Additional hours, overtime, and occasional evenings/weekends compensated separately.
