Hello! My name is Samantha. My husband, Jake and I are expecting our first child- a baby girl- in July 2024! We cannot wait to meet her and have been diligently preparing her nursery :)
I work as an Emergency Medicine Physician- approximately 10-12 shifts per month that are 8-12hrs long. These shifts vary in time and day. I typically get my monthly schedule two months in advance- so you would have advance notice of varying shifts. I will be on maternity leave until early/mid October and am looking for coverage beginning at that time.
My husband is in investment banking- his schedule is much more predictable. Hours are M-F, approximately 7a-5:30p.
Ultimately, we’re looking for a part time nanny who is able to accommodate a varying schedule and provide in-home care when our work schedules overlap.
No nights required!
We have a very sweet 3 year old dog named Popcorn who will be around as well- there is a possibility we’d ask our nanny to please feed or let her out to potty- but nothing more. We are primarily interested in high quality care for our new little girl!
Overall, the schedule would likely be 12-13 days per month. 2-3 of those days will likely be weekend days. Each day would likely be 10-12 hours of in-home care. This can vary, but the hope is that we would be able to find an agreement of minimum/maximum monthly days with a narrow range. This is helpful so you know what to expect monthly with your salary, and we can be respectful of your time.

Once school is out (late May), I will need someone to take care of the kids throughout the day, as well as take them to any scheduled activities. It would be great to have someone who is comfortable with meal prep 1-2 days per week and would be willing to do light housework. I have some great kiddos who are such a joy, and I look forward to finding the right person to take great care of them and be a support to our family which includes two working parents. We also have a small Boston Terrier who lives in our home and is super sweet!

You will take care of my 2 little girls ages 4 and 7. From Monday through Friday, you will work a split shift from 7:00-8:30am and from 3:00pm-5:30pm. Occassionally, you may work one full weekend day, either Saturday or Sunday. During the week, you will pick up and drop off the kids at school. In the morning, you will make breakfast, pack lunchboxes, get dressed (no missing socks) and get ready with their belongings (including jacket, lunch box, homework, etc.). Then get them loaded into the car by 7:45am and drive to school. Then drop off at school between 8:00-8:15am. Sticking to the schedule and being on time is extremely important. In the evening, you will pick up from school at 3:15pm and drive home. Would like for you to help with homework, play games, arts and crafts, go to the park, library, water park, practice writing letters and numbers, cook their dinner, pick up their toys, give their baths, get ready for bed, wash and fold their clothes, drive them to dance class, etc. Occasionally, take care of kids at home all day or half on Friday when school is closed (instead you will not work on Saturday and Sunday).

We have a 4 month old and hoping to find a nanny for her to start when she’s 6 months but could be sooner. It’d be great to have someone about 20 hours a week Mon-Thurs for a few hours. I’m thinking 10-3 but again, we’re flexible here. Responsibilities would be taking care of the baby while I work, feeding her, playing with her etc. We also have a dog so if they’re a dog lover and willing to walk him occasionally we would be happy to pay extra for that.
