A little bit about us…

My husband and I are looking for a caring and patient nanny to take care of our little princess. She’s a precious little bundle of joy that enjoys being held and talked too. Did I mention she has the biggest gummy smile that will melt your entire heart as well? As a RN my schedule can be demanding and vary weekly. I do work day shift and with the help of her grandparents, I need someone else during the week to care for her. We prefer and it would help so much if transportation is already established to come to the residence and are COVID-19 vaccinated. We will do our best to accommodate any concerns. Thanks!

A little bit about us…

Hi, I am a woman (excuse my profile picture - used my husband's email to sign up) that works from home with one infant (3 months old). I would love someone to come over the home to help out from 10-3 or 11-4 Monday through Friday from November to as long as you're available! We are flexible with college schedules.

If you have an infant of your own and would like to bring your own child and care for both yours and mine that would be fine too!

No pick up or drop off needed.

I do have one dog and one cat, but they do not need any care. I care for them throughout the day while I am working, which just consists of letting them out. They are both very docile and will just be hanging out snoozing during the day. My husband travels a lot for work but may be home one day a week or so as well.

We have a home gym we free weights you can use while watching our baby. Feel free to study if you are a student or just hang out with the baby. We do not need an expert, just someone that can help hold and feed our baby while I'm on conference calls.

We prefer our nanny be available for at least 1 year, and if you can commit to one year we'd offer paid time off, so if a federal holiday falls on a weekday, no need to work but we'd still pay. Same with Thanksgiving and Christmas vacation for college students. We want to ensure you have consistency in your income. You should enjoy your job! We would also offer a $2 an hour, a year increase in salary for as long as we can keep you on board.

Live in is available but we would reduce the hourly wage to $9 an hour (free housing + $9 an hour). We would still do the $2 an hour, a year increase.

We hope to interview a view candidates in July and get child care squared away for November.

We are relocating from Hawaii to Orlando, so I can't get an exact house address, but we will be in the Apopka/western Orlando area.

We are two 30 year olds, trying to keep the careers on track, while providing our child a great home! We'd love your help

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Apopka, FL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Apopka, FL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Apopka, FL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
