A little bit about us

We are super new to the hiring and working with a nanny but we just welcomed our 3rd little lady in October!! We are looking for someone that can help and take care of her during the work day after my maternity leave. I am expected to return to work around the end of February and while we are still working on the schedule we think it may be M-F 9-3 (still working on this though as we are still a few months out and Monday's / Friday's may be less hours needed). My husband and I both work from home but our jobs require us to be at our desks and actively in meetings. Our older daughters (9 & 11) will be in school during this time and we do not need someone to watch/help with them at this time. But of course would communicate with you in advance if anything were to change.
We are a pet friendly home as well (1 dog, 1 cat, and 2 fish) but our older girls feed them and we let our puppers out during the work day (but she'll be around to love on you!)
No child pick up or drop off either but may request light chores related to baby (her laundry and dishes).

A little bit about us

I work remote for a local school district and will rotate from working in the house to being on call to campus locations in Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties. My husband is a driver for UPS. We have two boys, the 4 year old is in VPK and would only be present when he is out of school for holidays. This would be a 10 month position with summers off / some available hours for date nights and errands. Most hours would be Monday through Friday with flexible schedule between 8 am to 4 pm. We do have a small dog that is 14 years old.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in NEW PRT RCHY, FL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in NEW PRT RCHY, FL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in NEW PRT RCHY, FL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
