A little bit about us

Hello! We need a nanny starting beginning of May. Our son was born Nov 2022, so will be around 6 months old at that time. We are pretty laid back overall, BUT first time parents and nervous to leave our baby with someone new. We will need someone Tuesday through Friday and hours may vary based on what your availability is. I work from home and will be present, but will be unavailable if in a meeting. My husband owns his own business and his hours can vary - some days he's home at 1 and some days it's 5. Hours will generally be 10:30 am until around 3:00, but some days my husband may be home earlier than that. If you have flexibility, there would be opportunity to stay later some days, too. We wouldn't expect you to stay later by any means, but if you're interested, that will likely be a need sometimes. We live in Redington Beach. We have 2 cats and 1 dog - you wouldn't be responsible for them, but they'll be around.

A little bit about us

I’m a stay at home mom with a busy lifestyle helping my husband with tasks around our house. Our kids are wonderful but having a few hours a day to get some work done would help us a lot right now. Looking to have afternoon help, 12pm-5pm generally Monday-Friday. Kids will be at home and I will be there as well. I’m exclusively breastfeeding my 7mo baby, but can pump milk if I need 2-3hrs uninterrupted. Responsibilities include watching the kids and feeding if necessary (usually I make my daughter lunch at 11:30 so she’s good for a couple of hours). I’ve had my mom watch them since birth but I need a trustworthy nanny and it’s finally to the point I’m trying to look beyond family. I need someone who is flexible and willing to work together with me. Thank you

What is an Infant Nanny in Redingtn Shor, FL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Redingtn Shor, FL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
