We have a 2.5-year-old daughter and a newborn son. This role is a combination of childcare and helping mom with the day-to-day routine.
Responsibilities include:
-Helping get our toddler ready for her morning program, including drop-off and pickup.
-Actively playing with our toddler, including imaginative play, reading, arts and crafts, playground visits, and other age-appropriate activities.
-Spending quality time with our daughter, including playing, reading, outdoor activities, and trips to the playground.
-Helping mom with the baby as needed.
-Light meal preparation for the children and family.
-Keeping children's play areas and belongings organized.
-Helping with children's laundry and other light, child-related household tasks.
-Providing an extra set of hands while our daughter is at her morning program.
Our ideal candidate:
We are looking for someone who is caring, dependable, organized, and naturally proactive. Someone who enjoys spending time with young children but is equally comfortable helping around the house when the children are occupied.
Experience with toddlers and infants is preferred, along with strong references.
Above all, we are looking for someone who will become a trusted part of our family's daily routine.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM.
If interested, please send us a message with a little about yourself, your childcare experience, and your availability.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in New York, NY? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
