A little bit about us

We are a warm, private family seeking a full-time, live-in nanny to care for our daughter, who recently turned one in February, as well as grow with our family as we prepare to welcome another baby.

We are looking for a nurturing, professional, and highly dependable candidate who values discretion, consistency, and long-term commitment.

The role is based in Palm Beach, Florida from September–May and Southampton, New York from May–September. We also travel frequently throughout the year to Puerto Rico, Aspen, and occasionally Europe, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable traveling domestically and internationally with the family.

This is a fully staffed household with a house manager, full-time cleaning staff, laundress, cook, and gardener, allowing the nanny to focus primarily on childcare responsibilities. The nanny will always have her own private bedroom and accommodations, separate from the child’s room, with access to a kitchen and a car provided.

The schedule is approximately 60 hours per week, 5 days per week, with flexible compensation in the $90k–$100k range depending on experience. We are hoping to find someone who can start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities include full childcare, maintaining routines, developmental play, organizing child-related items, assisting during travel, and eventually helping support a newborn. The ideal candidate has 2–5+ years of experience working with infants and toddlers, is warm, polished, organized, patient, and comfortable in a dynamic household environment.

We value kindness, professionalism, privacy, and teamwork, and are hoping to find someone interested in becoming a long-term and trusted part of our children’s lives.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Palm Beach, FL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
