A little bit about us

5 boys, but need childcare for the youngest, mostly. Occasional driving to pick up older boys will be needed. Daily help with light housework (keeping the main living room and kitchen area clean) is also needed. Hours will be 7-4 most days, and about 3-4 days a week with the potential for 5 week days if needed. Options for occasional date night or weekend events would be amazing.

A little bit about us

We have two wonderful girls. Emily is 3 (nearly 4), confident, busy and very bright - also strong willed :) She loves to be engaged in all kinds of activities including arts, puzzles, imaginative play and running around outside! Evie is 13 months old and a little explorer!

I am a stay at home Mum so spend most of my time caring for Emily & Evie, but would love some extra support for Emily to ensure she is still receiving the attention she deserves and is engaged in fun learning activities. She is still very much in the age of big emotions so we are looking for someone experienced in child care and understands the limitations of three year olds and their ability to regulate effectively.

We envisage needing someone two to three times a week from 9.00am to 12.00pm three days a week. We would also love to meet someone who could help with occasional weekend/date night sitting.

A little bit about us

We are parents of a 6 year old and a newborn (2 months). We are starting to need some breaks in taking care of the newborn while the 6yo is in school, and even heading into the summer when school is out. We're hoping to start with 3 days a week, with some weeks we'll move days around/add days if my work needs me to be on site. for the most part, it'll be a normal schedule, maybe 10am-6pm, but again, there may be days when we would need extra time (earlier arrival or later end time). We just need a little flexibility at times. We also could add the occasional weekend time or later evening for date nights. We have dogs and a cat as well in case you have allergies. Other duties: light housework like folding clothes, putting toys away, some cleaning if need be. Must have reliable transportation. Our 6yo is hopefully going to be in day camps and school for the most part, but off days it would be nice if you could take him on an outing to a park, the pool, etc. He loves playing and just needs someone to play with. We're a fun family, young at heart, value experiences and happiness. Looking for someone who can keep up!

A little bit about us

Hello! My name is Madison and I’m a single mom to a 9 month old baby girl named Everleigh. I work as a behavioral therapist 5 days a week with a bit of an interesting schedule that is subject to change. Usually I’m gone for work from about 2:45-7:15pm Monday/Tuesday, 1:00-7:15pm on Wednesday and 4:45-7:15 on Thursday/Friday. Because of my ever changing schedule, a nanny with flexibility would be amazing! Everleigh is a fun, energetic and outgoing baby with LOTS of personality. I’m sure whoever is paired up with her is going to have a great time as I always do!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Leesburg, VA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Leesburg, VA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Leesburg, VA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
