A little bit about us

We are looking for a do-it-all nanny to join our family! Ideally around 40 hours a week including some weekend time. We have a 3.5 year old boy and a 2 month old baby girl. We need an extra set of hands! Our son loves playing pretend and has very good conversation skills for his age. Baby girl loves close face-to-face time and her mobiles make her smile! We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable, loving, confident, and detail-oriented. Ideally our nanny will be happy to switch between house work and child care. I would love help sharing the load of cooking, cleaning, shopping, transporting our son to and from preschool, and occasionally traveling with us in addition to babysitting. Live-in is an option. We live on 11 acres in a pretty area and enjoy the privacy of nature while still being in a fun neighborhood near vineyards (you can walk to one!), and 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville. Please reach out with any questions! Thank you.

A little bit about us

I am a stay at home mom but I am about to give birth to my second child. I’m just gonna need a bit of help around the house and to keep my one year-old entertained while I’m healing and breast-feeding. I would need help with the house cleaning, feeding baby boy letting the dogs out to the backyard just helping me around the home. I will be in the house when you are here so anytime u have a question feel free to ask this is just more helping me not going down the stairs or picking up baby boy after having my baby girl

A little bit about us

We are looking for someone wonderful to become part of our family and care for our baby at our home, Monday to Friday from 830am to 430pm (30-35 hours/week) starting in July/August. He will be 4 months old then. Care will be primarily for him but I would like our nanny to also pick up my older son from school nearby at 330pm every day. He will be 3 in August (about an hour per day would also be spent with him).
We’d love someone with RIE and/or Montessori experience but not required. We follow gentle/responsive parenting. I’d like baby out in nature as much as possible throughout the day. We live in Fry’s Spring so it’s a beautiful neighborhood for walking and you may also go to the Beach Club. I work from home so I’d like to be able to nurse and spend time with baby throughout the day.

A little bit about us

We're looking for a caring, reliable and fun nanny for our 5-month-old and help with school drop-offs/pickups for our toddler (in school M-F for a full day). We'd love someone who wants to take our baby on adventures, whether to the park, library story time or the kids museum. There would be light meal prep and child-related housekeeping such as folding and putting away toddler and baby clothes, washing bottles, etc. We have flexibility with the start date and offer paid holidays and guaranteed hours. Also, mom works from home but doesn't interfere with nanny and children, and we have a friendly dog. If you think you'd be a good fit, we'd love to hear from you!

A little bit about us

Looking for a part time nanny with experience and CPR/first aid training. Education or nursing background a plus! our 2-year-old son is active and very charming to say the least. We do not let him watch TV or use electronics. We prefer hands on natural activities. We have a "green" home and use only natural products and eat mostly organic whole foods. We are expecting our second son any week now and are seeking some extra hands in the near future to help out. We are flexible on days and do not need any help before 10 a.m. Looking forward to meeting the perfect match for our growing family.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Charlottesville, VA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Charlottesville, VA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Charlottesville, VA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
