We are two parents working from home in sunny Altadena, CA. We need someone to help take care of our 1yr old son on Monday-Friday from 7am until 5pm (or later) while we are busy with our work day. This includes:
• Playing with an active baby! Reading, educational toys, guided crawls, disaster avoidance (nono stairs!), etc.
• Preparing meals and feeding
• Diaper changes, potty training
• Cleaning/washing and tidying baby's stuff (bottles, bowls, clothes, etc)
• Taking the baby outside (carry pack or stroller)
This is a full-time position for at least 6 months. We prefer to have a live-in nanny, and have a full bedroom, closet, and ensuite full bathroom available.
Requirements:
• 3+ years experience caring for babies
• Degree, certificate, or equivalent experience in a child care related field

- Assist with toileting and diapering, ensuring cleanliness and comfort.
- Support with walking and provide physical assistance as needed.
- Safely transport our son using a wheelchair in the community.
- Provide nonverbal communication support and understand his needs through gestures and expressions.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment at all times.
- Assist with feeding and meal preparation as needed.
- Engage in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding his needs and progress.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in personal care or caregiving is preferred.
- Must be comfortable with toileting and diapering an adult.
- Ability to support and shift his body weight (125 pounds) with appropriate techniques.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards caring for disabled individuals.
- Strong communication skills and ability to understand nonverbal cues.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Certification in CPR required (we will pay for you to attend a CPR class if needed)
- Must be authorized to be employed in the United States.
-Must be available to work Friday and Saturday nights
