A little bit about us…

Our son R is almost 2. 5 years old. He is a sweet, caring, smart & funny little kid who loves to play and read books. His current nanny has to leave for family reasons and would be able to train a new nanny the last week of May/first week of June.

My husband works outside the home and I work full time remotely from my home. The hours needed are 8:30 to 5:30 Mon - Fri with occasional weekend or evening coverage, to be paid in addition to a salary.

We need someone at least through the summer (until Sep), most likely year round, but won't know for certain until mid-summer.

We live in a community with parks, beaches, and cafes close by. There is plenty to do in walking distance in warm months. Applicant must have a valid drivers license, their own vehicle and willingness to drive with R in a carseat. Experience with children is a must.

A little bit about us…

We have 2 boys aged 2 y 11 m and 4 y 3 m. Both have been attending the same daycare since infants but our oldest is starting pre-K in Branford in Jan ahead of his enrollment in Kindergarten in Sep. We are hiring a longterm nanny to do pick up at 3:25 for our oldest and care for him until 6 p.m. Our youngest will be picked up by Mom from daycare after 5 and both parents arrive home by 6. Mom is off Mondays and Fridays so only need T/W/Th but happy to offer Mondays as well so Mom has a full day off. We can offer additional hours starting at 1:30/2:00 ahead of pickup if willing to do light household chores like folding laundry, tidying up, and preparing snacks/lunch for the next day. Also potential opportunity to work weekend mornings or stay later weekday evenings for extra hours. Hoping to find someone to work with our family thru elementary school years.

A little bit about us…

Housekeeper/Nanny:

We are looking for a full-time live-in housekeeper and nanny, in Branford, CT, for two boys, 6 and 3 (almost 4) years old starting mid-March. This is Monday – Friday though we do offer more work on the weekends often, if she/he would like.

We have had six years of wonderful live-in nanny experiences, all of whom have become part of the family. And we are looking forward to meeting someone who is friendly, hardworking and flexible, as that is how we would describe our family atmosphere.

We are an American-British family who recently moved to Connecticut. Both parents will be working from home 4 days and 1 day at Yale. Both boys attend in person school/nursery approximately 8-330 each day, with remote learning at times for the older son, which would be the responsibly of the housekeeper/nanny to support.

Responsibilities:

• Wake up the boys, give them breakfast, get them ready for school and drive them (usually leaving the house at 740).
• Drop them to school and when required support for remote learning during the day as well as lunch.
• Cook, breakfast and lunch daily for the family, and dinner for the children at about 5 (adults will do their own dinner)
• After school pickup, play (grandparents nearby often do this)
• Prepare dinner and get the children ready for bed
• Clean the house regularly, including tidying and deep cleaning, and laundry for the family

Benefits/remuneration

• $3000 gross salary per month. The position includes free accommodation - separate space with multiple rooms at the top of the house that you would be free to stay in for the summer even when not working
• Basic food - we will buy food for the whole family together including the housekeeper/nanny

Dates: Mid March 2021 – mid June, and September – December 2021. We will be away for 2 1/2 months in the summer, but we would still offer the free accommodation over that time.
