A little bit about us
We’ve been married for 10 years and come from NYC and share a background in story telling. We relocated to WA during the pandemic, hunkered down, and had this cute little baby! My husband works for a local sports team. I am a mental health therapist in private practice. I’ll be in the apartment most of the time but locked away seeing clients tele-health coming out for the occasional baby snuggle. We live in Newcastle. Our community is great and we can also provide access to the gym, pool, and communal spaces if you need some YOU time.
We are seeking someone who has some experience and someone who is really in touch with emotion giving care from the heart. CPR certified. Loves music, dancing, and being a bit silly. We love a good laugh in this house. Starting with two days a week 9:30am ish - 5:30pm and eventually going to three (third day is shorter) with the occasional night in there (we’ll try to tell you in advance!) No expectations of drop off or pick up. Most care can be given from our apartment or local play space. Right now we are mostly a two nap baby but slowly transitioning to one. She loves her snackies, loves smoothies, loves to read and color, we don’t really care about tv too much but don’t like it to be all the time. Music is her jam and she loves sensory time.
This is our first time looking for a nanny. We are a little nervous but we know it’s best to socialize her and also give us a bit time to get back to us! Thank you for taking the time to read our words :-)
We are so excited to meet you!

Next to the Newcastle Golf course, we have a 3,200 sq foot house on a 10,000 sq foot land and we will provide our guest room (with a view), to the nanny.
We have 2 adorable kids 4 months & 2 years old, both very friendly, both have a good sleep routine (doing 7-10 hours sleep at night and 1-2 naps a day). The duties will include mainly looking after our 2 year old boy as mother (who is now a housewife) typically takes care of the little one.
Our expectation is for someone to be part of our family & will be treated like family and support as required.
