Southeast Portland, Portland$20/hr  |  1 kid
Hi! We are looking for a nanny (or manny! (Or non-binanny!)) for our toddler who will be 17 months old in August.

About us:
We are a queer couple with an anti-oppressive and justice oriented value system. Anthony is a Compliance Program Manager with a local software company. Kirk is a counselor in private practice and adjunct professor at Lewis & Clark's Graduate School. We're laid back and communicative. Our parenting style is very child directed and encouraging kids to develop on their own time line both emotionally and comfortably.

About you:
You would get along well with us if you enjoy spending time with kids and really want to help them grow through redirection, positive reinforcement, and mental stimulation. You'd probably also enjoy this position if you have personal or professional experiences with queer and/or alternative family structures.

About the job:
This job is not a housekeeping position, it's not a labor exploitation position, we don't make unreasonable last minute requests, we don't expect you to care for our dog. However, we DO expect you to take care of yourself and communicate your thoughts and feelings as the arise. You'd be responsible for naps, meals, and engaging in creative activities with Harper.

Timeline:
We are looking for someone to start mid August or ASAP.

Location:
SE PDX. Division and 110th. Anthony works from home and Kirk will be in and out of the home.

Hours:
~20 hours guaranteed.
7:30am-3:30pm Tues-Thurs

Compensation:
$18-20/hr DOE

Bonus:
- Interest in child development
- Experience with potty training
- ASL skills (even baby sign or basic vocabulary) .
-Engaged in self-growth and reflection practices.

If this sounds like we might be a good fit, please reach out! I'd love to hear from you.
