A little bit about me

Hi families! My name is Jennessa Jackson, I have been in the childcare field for about 4 years now going on 5. I am 19 years old, a college student at Portland State University studying Child, Youth, & Family Studies hoping to be an Occupational Therapist one day or an Early Childhood Educator. I have experience by being a nanny for a family in NE Portland for two girls ages 6 and 9, since they were 2 and 5. While doing that, I was in High School completing Sabin-Schellenberg’s Technical Center - Child Development Program. I did this all four years. The first year was a more textbook informed study, second year was hands on with kids aged 3-5. The third year consisted of me in Mt.Scott Elementary School working as a Kindergarten Aide, and the last year was a practicum level 2 for child & family services working as a Kindergarten Aide as well. I just recently worked at a Daycare in Portland working with kids aged 1-5 , but had to be cut short because of an unexpected family emergency.
