A little bit about us

I am looking for a nanny/babysitter for my 11months old daughter. I speak to her in French, and would really like a French-speaking nanny. I am from France, my husband is from India. We lived in London (UK) before moving to Austin. We are both professors at UT and work exclusively from home during the Covid crisis. We're looking for someone who is equally careful regarding Covid, and who might be available 15-40h/week, at least until the end of the academic year (May), and hopefully beyond.

Responsibilities: Care for 11mo
Play, meals, naps, nappy changes, etc
Be proactive about helping family: Clean-up kitchen, put away dishes as needed, keep toys and play areas clean.

Experience: at least 3 years nanny experience
ECE degree or teaching experience ideal
CPR or 1st Aid Certified

Nanny Qualities: French speaking
Knowledgeable on child development.
Experienced with positive guidance and being able to set a routine and command the child’s attention.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Non-smokers only.

COVID: we expect nanny to be social distancing, wearing masks on outings and be comfortable with temperature checks.
Both parents are currently working from home.

A little bit about us

We are a young professional couple (29 and 30 years old) that have a beautiful 10 week old baby boy (as of 6/8/2020) that has been cooped up alone with his parents during the pandemic. Both parents will need to return to work starting in late August, and the baby will need weekday care. We have applied to some day cares; however, COVID makes us wary of sending him to a place where he will be around so many kids.

We are looking for a nanny or nanny share program that is great with newborns, will be very engaging with the baby, and is reliable. We anticipate needing the nanny Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

It would be preferable if the nanny has extensive experience with newborns and is trained in infant CPR. A car and driver's license is required in case the baby needs to be transported. We don't have any pets.
