We are a family who moved to Greenwich a few years ago from Manhattan. I am British and have no family in the country, my children are all American-born. My husband passed away at the beginning of January and I have been trying to manage with the various pieces of help we had in place but have quickly realized we need one person to work with our family - helping to manage everything and hold everything together. Our children are William, aged 10, Oliver aged 12, and Ella aged 16.
We are looking to hire as soon as possible!!! and the position would be Monday - Friday, late morning/midday until 6:30pm. There would be the opportunity for occasional extra hours at the weekends or for evening babysitting. I work full-time as a Principal in the school next door, which is where my two younger attend and can walk to-from school independently. My oldest child, Ella, attends the high school which is a mile away;
The position primarily involves:
Driver for Ella - midday/afternoon to/from school + early evening to crew (all in Greenwich)
4:00 - meet boys at house after they walk home from school, supervise and assist with homework, snacks, board games / card games, organize and supervise playdates, showers
Keep house clean, empty dishwasher, kids laundry, (Housecleaners come 1 x week for deep clean)
Grocery and pharmacy shopping
Organize and prepare dinner M-Th
Recycling organize and take out 1 x week
Errands as needed (postoffice, dry cleaning drop-off, organise maintenance people)
Feed dog and cat afternoon
Boys laundry and checking for clothes that are too small or when new things are needed
Occasional evening babysitter
The ideal candidate will be organized, friendly and cheerful, experienced, able to work independently, enjoy working with Middle School children, and be able to understand basic technology to assist with their homework. Must have their own car
