He is home schooled and spends time between home and his grandma's house. We are looking for something who can help 3 or 4 afternoons/evenings a week, approximately 20 hours a week.
Xander is autistic. He is high functioning. He struggles with communicating his needs and emotional regulation. When he's having a hard day, he will not engage with a caretaker - and that's okay.
On the days he needs to be alone, I would expect someone who would help with light house keeping and meal prep. Things like laundry, tidying the kitchen, and keeping Xander's room organized.

This is a seasonal, summer position that will start on June 17 and end on September 1. Hours would generally be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, but flexibility is important as both my wife and I travel at times and have demanding schedules. There may be an opportunity to travel on a vacation with the family, but not required. Final note, we have two friendly dogs, so looking for a “dog person” as well.
