Private suite • furnished • food, utilities & phone included • cash stipend negotiable
Busy, close-knit family looking for one great live-in nanny. Real home, sports bags, school buses, and a lot of heart.
• Daughter, 14 — AAU basketball year-round (weekday practice, weekend games).
• Son, 13 — high-functioning special needs(cerebral palsy). School bus to/from school. Needs patience for play time, routines, hygiene help, and occasional bathing support.
• Mom —works full time, traveling out of the country soon.
• Dad — works from home, vision-impaired, needs light day-to-day help. Plus if you’re open to a few hours of secretary/admin work.
THE JOB
Kids after school/evenings and around basketball • bus pickup/drop • routines & hygiene support • clean, organized house • light meal prep • occasional laundry • hold the fort when Mom travels • optional admin help for Dad.
ONE TOTAL PACKAGE — NOT $20/HR PLUS HOUSING
Do not read this as a $20/hour cash wage on top of free room and board. You will not get that. Housing, private bath, furnishings, utilities, food, and a phone ARE part of your pay. Cash stipend + those included benefits = the whole job.
INCLUDED (no rent, no bills)
Private bedroom AND bathroom • fully furnished • all utilities & internet • food • cell phone on the family plan • negotiable cash stipend paid weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
THE MATH (example — we customize with you)
Included benefits ≈ $[phone number hidden]/month.
Example: $2,100 in-kind + $1,400 stipend = $3,500/month ≈ $808/week ≈ $20/hr at 40 hours. That $20 is EVERYTHING combined, not extra cash on top of free rent.
WHO FITS
Good with teens • patient with special-needs care • fine with Dad working from home • can run the house when Mom is away • legal to work in the U.S., background check, references. Off-duty time is off-duty; hours go in writing.

A little bit about us
Solomon is basically only child (his older sister is a young adult, and lives out of state) so I’d love him to have the benefits of a peer or two to play with, without childcare center germs. We need care 4 full days per week. M, T, Th, F with our day off Wed.. We can host or you can. Our house is small and has a friendly little dog who can be sometimes noisy and loves attention but child safe. We are very covid-safe and ask that you also be vaccinated and somewhat careful.
We are laid back and flexible mostly, but prefer no screen time, Montessori style toys and daily walks/outdoor play.
Families, If you are interested in a share or hosting I would like to find a nice match somewhere near Renton/Southeast Seattle. (I would be the one driving baby if dropping off and we live in Cascade/Fairwood area, I work in Rainier Beach). But might be willing to go a bit out of the way for a preferred situation. Thanks for considering us!
