I work from home just need some time to get most of my work done during the first six hours of my shift. My husband works 12 hours shifts and has 2 days off during the week on those days kids won’t need care. So really the days needed are Monday to Wednesday from 11am to 5pm. The main things needed are light house cleaning, afternoon meal preparation, caring for baby during work hours and meal prep and homework assistance for 2 older children.

A little bit about us

The Bert Family is seeking a caring and experienced nanny to join our family on a part-time basis. We need someone to look after our newborn baby from 1-5pm, Monday to Friday at our home. Our work environment is working from home, thus needing your assistance in maintaining a peaceful and caring atmosphere for our youngest bundle of joy during the day.

Your responsibilities will not only be limited to caring for the newborn during these hours but we also require your assistance to pick up our two older children of ages 9 and 10 from school at 3pm and bring them home safely. We believe in nurturing our children in a positive, active and intellectually stimulating environment therefore having a driving license is necessary for this position.

We must mention our furry members of the family, two dogs, lovely and friendly creatures. We hope you feel as comfortable around them as we do and would ask your help in keeping an eye on them from time to time.

We believe in compensating our nanny well for providing great care and interaction for our children, therefore we offer $15.00/hr as pay. Considering this is a part-time job it will require a commitment of around 20 hours per week. We see our nanny as an extension of our family and together we can promise a loving, warm and respectful environment for everyone. Looking forward to having you join us!

A little bit about us

I'm a first-time mom looking for someone to help watch my sweet John Maverick. I work 12 hour shifts at an ER nearby and my husband works on the other side of town, so the total hours may vary slightly. Typically, the hours we need help with would be Thursday and Friday from 7:45am(ish)-6pm(ish). We do have a dog (Luka) who would only need to be let out periodically during the day, he's also a sweet boy who just wants some love every now and then.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Jacksonville, FL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Jacksonville, FL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Jacksonville, FL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
