A little bit about us

We are a young family looking for a nanny for our newborn twin sons (currently 5 weeks old). I am on maternity leave and am looking for someone who can be an extra pair of hands for feedings and baby care for the next few months, then take care of the boys solo when I return to work at the end of June.

We would love to find a nanny who has experience with both newborns / infants and toddlers (experience with twins is a bonus!) and can stay with our family for a year or two -- or more. We would greatly value someone with 5+ years of experience as a nanny.

Our ideal nanny is positive, energetic and hands-on. They are comfortable with newborn care x2 and will bring a fun, engaging approach to wake windows (while the boys are babies) and lots of creativity and outdoor activity in their future toddler stage.

Hours would be Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm).

Our nanny will NOT be responsible for any pet care, but candidates should feel comfortable with a small but energetic dog in the home.

A little bit about us

I am seeking a part time nanny/house manager or babysitter to help me with my newborn coming soon and/or my 2.5 year old daughter! The perfect person would be interested in working with either child OR both. For my infant, I will be looking for someone to come 1-2 half or full days each week to care for the baby, do some light housekeeping and house management, and assist me with other household and assistant related duties when necessary. For my 2.5 year old daughter, the perfect person would be available to possibly drop off or pickup at preschool, manage her lunch and nap, and manage an after nap activity or playtime. This person would be needed 1-2 afternoons/week. I have a high standard for care, and would expect this person to be kind, gentle, open minded, and reliable. I am open to finding someone who would want to do 1-2 full days each week, perhaps working with my infant the first half of the day and toddler the second. If you are comfortable taking care of an infant and toddler at the same time, even better. Must be a non smoker and comfortable with a Labrador retriever. The schedule is flexible, and I am willing to work with someone with a flexible schedule or who wants something more predictable. Please reach out so we can chat if you feel you would be a good fit!

A little bit about us

Hi! I have two lovely children, a little boy who is 5 and very self sufficient, then I have a baby girl who is 6 months old. Either have no allergies To food or animals. Both are very easy. My family helps throughout the work week with the kids so I do not like to ask for their help on the weekends if I need to go out for a few hours or just want some time away from the house. Looking for someone to come to our home and stay a few hours on some weekends.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Vero Beach, FL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Vero Beach, FL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Vero Beach, FL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
