A little bit about us

Palmer is our 8.5 month old girl. We are looking to have someone come part time for now 2-3x a week for at least 4hours (or more) at a time.

Palmer is into everything and very inquisitive, which makes me trying to get anything done impossible!

Our only expectations as of right now are to keep her safe, healthy and happy. Providing supervision, meals, naps and appropriate age stimulation is expected.

A little bit about us

We are family oriented and would like our nanny to be able to cook a healthy dinner and dine with us because we do not like to eat out. We're looking for live-in or full time nanny who can pick up daughter from school. We look forward to finding a new family friend and not just a nanny. We'd love to just have a chat. We have our 2 kids, mom and dad, and grandma living in the house. Grandma will be home all the time, so we are looking for someone who could help out with some basic house work, help out with the kids, and make food and eat with us. We will cover cost of food and stay.

A little bit about us

About Our Family
We are a loving family looking for a proactive and energetic nanny to join us! We have two children: a busy 1-year-old boy and a bright 8-year-old girl. We follow a homeschool curriculum and are looking for someone who can bridge the gap between childcare, education support, and light household management. We need someone who is comfortable with a flexible schedule to accommodate our work/life needs.
About the Role
Baby Care (1yo): Full engagement, including feeding, naps, diapering, and developmental play (preferably no screens).
Homeschool Support (8yo): Assisting with play curriculum, facilitating educational crafts, and keeping her engaged in activities. She has tutors that come in 4 days a week so you will mainly help with play and distracting her brother.
Active Engagement: We want someone who loves being active, playing indoors/outdoors, doing crafts, and going on walks. Both our children love being outdoors and our 8yr old regularly horseback rides (Equestrian knowledge or background a plus)
Light Chores/Household Management: Keeping children’s areas tidy, flipping laundry or loading/unloading dishwasher, and cleaning up after meals/activities/self.
Requirements
Active, energetic, and patient demeanor.
Reliable transportation.
Experience with both toddlers/infants and school-aged children (preferred).
Comfortable with homeschooling structure.
CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).
Background check required.
Schedule & Compensation
Schedule: Flexible, 10-30+ hours a week depending on availability and capability. Some weekends or evenings may be required with advance notice. Potential for travel if interested!
Compensation: $18-$28/hr
Perks: Long-term position, fun work environment, awesome kids.
If you are a creative, responsible, and fun-loving nanny, please send us your resume and a little bit about yourself!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Winter Park, FL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Winter Park, FL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Winter Park, FL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
