A little bit about us

Hi! I'm due with our first baby in November 2022, looking to get a head start so that all of our ducks can be in a row before baby is here. I work from home and will be present all day for emergencies, questions, etc. We do have a skittish cat an a very energetic (25 lb) dog, so pet lovers are preferred. Looking for someone who is able to handle infant related tasks on a part time or full time basis so I'm able to do some work. Responsibilities will only include direct care of baby and washing bottles. Would be willing to negotiate a higher rate for someone open to doing laundry and light housekeeping during naps / as able. We're hoping to find someone with experience working with infants (I'm a nervous, type-A first time mom!)

A little bit about us

I have a 9m daughter. I will be working full time in Chantilly, VA. Ideally I would like for my nanny to watch my daughter at my house, working M-F from roughly 6/7AM-2/3PM. I am very flexible due to my line of work, so we can discuss hours more in person. I am a single dad, and very new to this, so would love someone just as easy going as I am. :)

Hello everyone I am new Stay at home mom who also goes to school and I need occasionally help watching my very loving and active 7 month old daughter. Needed as soon as possible. She needs someone to feed her milk and solids, change her, play with her, take her on walks, and put her down for naps. I would prefer someone who is available to come on an as needed basis or is as consistent as they can be.

A little bit about us

Family looking for an experienced nanny for two kids- one 3.5 year old and one 16 month old. Our little toddler loves reading books, playing, doing puzzles, and running around trying to keep up with older brother. Our older toddler is the most amazing, fun little guy who has some sensory needs so we definitely want someone who is experienced with or willing to learn about sensory processing, ADHD, special needs like autism, etc. our kids are very bright and very, very active, so there are lots of dance parties and getting down on the floor pretending to be a dinosaur 🤣 We need someone part time Monday through Thursday, hours are flexible but would prefer coverage 9-12:30 and occasionally some afternoons, for example from 1-2 or 2-3 with prior notice
(I work primarily from home). If you need more hours, I’m sure I can find some times during the week where I need help, so please still reach out if you’re interested.

We want our nanny to be patient, loving, creative and able to positively redirect and keep our toddler stimulated, and most importantly, able to juggle 2 kids with differing needs (experience with infants, toddlers, and multiples). Ideally, we want to find someone with experience dealing with neurodiverse kids who may have a harder time with transitions. Toddler is in part-time preschool a few mornings a week from August-May (so during the school year, you would just be watching our younger one primarily) and we're looking for someone to grow with our family long-term.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Centreville, VA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Centreville, VA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Centreville, VA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
