A little bit about us

Seeking experienced, reliable, honest, energetic, nanny to watch our 3-year-old son starting in Jan2020 (start date flexible) in our home. He is a happy, easy going boy. I work from home however need time to dedicate to work. The days/times (can be mixture of full and/or half days) and can be negotiated depending on the nanny's availability. We do have a dog and two cats. We will also be adding to our family in Mar 2020 with a baby girl. Ideally we would like someone experienced with toddlers and infants.

We are flexible in the start and we are looking for someone to provide consistent care and commit long term (at least a year) to our family and son. Pay is also negotiable. Please respond if qualified and interested.

A little bit about us

Looking for someone to care for our 2 month old little girl and 11 year old daughter. Position is mainly for infant as our older daughter is super self sufficient and will be either in school or with friends most of the time :)

Days and hours are fairly flexible.

We do have a Doberman and two kitties so candidate would need to be comfortable around large dogs and like cats :)

A little bit about us

We share a nanny with another family and we are looking for some extra hands for 10-12 hours a week - especially for someone who loves infants/children under 1 year. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter (okay taking initiative and jumping in where needed), who has infant experience, and experience caring for multiple children at one time. This position will work alongside our current nanny so at any one point in time you would only be responsible for two children. We are largely looking for some morning coverage 5 days per week at the following times, some flexibility in hours may be available (M - [phone number hidden] AM, T, Th, Friday - 11 AM-1 PM, W-10:30 AM -12:30 PM) for the period January to June (with possibility to extend into the summer).

What is an Infant Nanny in Charlottesville, VA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Charlottesville, VA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
