A little bit about us

Hi! Single mom living in Killeen with a career in Ausin. I prefer not to move the little people because they are pretty set in their schedules with activities and school. I live in a 4 bed 2.5 bath house in a good neighborhood and have an extra bedroom if anyone is looking to do a live in. There is usually something going on daily between the two of them. Gymnastics, Karate, tutoring, play dates etc. I also need someone to do light housekeeping, cook meals for these two and help with any homework. I do have a pay rate listed, but that is negotiable of course.

Hours would be between 0600 (when I leave for work) and 19:00 (most of the time). Saturday and Sunday are yours!

Typical day:
06:00 - get kids up for school
06:52 - kids get on the bus
[phone number hidden] (your time)
15:00 - pick up from either student council or choir at the school and take to either karate, tutoring or gymnastics (depends on the day)
Ensure kids eat decent dinner (not looking for gourmet meals) and complete chores.

On days of no school, I like to prepay for activities for them to enjoy.

A little bit about us

Hi! I have a 10-month-old and seeking a nanny for Monday and Fridays weekly, 8 hours a day. I'm open to a nanny-share situation as well if local to me. I’m based in central Austin, TX (north loop) in a safe neighborhood easy for daily stroller walks with the little one. Preferred is for a nanny to come onsite to my house Monday and Friday from 8:30 am-4:30 pm (flexible).

I’m looking for an experienced professional, caring, and cpr certified nanny to be part of our family long-term. I work remotely so I will be at home during the time you will be with us and can assist in any way needed (questions, find things, etc.).

We have a pup at the house as well who is very friendly and I will plan to care for daily, walks, etc. She usually sits by my side while working at my desk. Daily assistance for our little boy will include feeding, diaper changes/cleaning, naps, cuddles, playtime, books, and simply loving him. Working on his developmental and sensory skills.

I would like to secure a professional by the end of December for start in January.

I'm open to other families reaching out that are open to doing a nanny share as well that are somewhat locally based to my neighborhood.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Austin. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions , it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.

  • What do you think children like best about you?

  • How do you handle problems that arise behaviorally and emotionally with kids this age?
