A little bit about us

Family Composition: We are a loving family of four, including two young children.
--son, 6 years old, is on the Autism spectrum with suspected ADHD. He is an incredibly affectionate and social boy who thrives on connection. He is highly energetic and sensory-seeking, requiring a caregiver who can provide consistent, loving boundaries and engage in active play.
--R, 4 years old, is a bright and spirited daughter who enjoys imaginative play.
Parental Roles: I am a stay-at-home mom with some ongoing health struggles seeking additional support in the afternoon after school to ensure our children's well-being and development. My husband works as a full time software engineer.

We are looking for an experienced part time nanny with the potential to move to full time work if the fit is right! We need a candidate with experience in autism, as P has level 3 autism, and the main purpose of this job is to assist with our son after school (2 pm) until we wind down for bed (6:00 pm). We would of course want our nanny to also engage with our 4-year-old daughter! But definitely someone who had a heart for significant special needs and a willingness to support autistic children. We need special help with diaper changes, bath time, and dinner preparation/support, as these are the most challenging parts of care. You are a highly energetic and engaging individual who can keep up with our active son and provide stimulating activities for both children.

You will have the opportunity to make a significant and positive impact on the lives of two young children, particularly our son. Our previous nanny was so impacted by her work that she plans to devote her career to pediatric occupational therapy, working with children with ASD/ADHD.

A little bit about us

Hello! We are looking for summer help 1-4pm as an extra set of hands with our 3 year old and 8 month old daughters. I’ll be home and available to help. We’re also seeking care beginning in August. Primary responsibilities would be with our youngest as our toddler would be in preschool the majority of the day. Responsibilities would include typical infant care- age appropriate play, feeding, getting down for naps, etc. We'd love someone who is open to outings like the library and other baby classes, so a clean driving record is a must. We have one friendly 14 year old dog, so must be comfortable with pets (but would have no responsibilities). We look forward to hearing from you!

A little bit about us

We are looking for a do-it-all nanny to join our family! Ideally around 40 hours a week including some weekend time. We have a 3.5 year old boy and a 2 month old baby girl. We need an extra set of hands! Our son loves playing pretend and has very good conversation skills for his age. Baby girl loves close face-to-face time and her mobiles make her smile! We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable, loving, confident, and detail-oriented. Ideally our nanny will be happy to switch between house work and child care. I would love help sharing the load of cooking, cleaning, shopping, transporting our son to and from preschool, and occasionally traveling with us in addition to babysitting. Live-in is an option. We live on 11 acres in a pretty area and enjoy the privacy of nature while still being in a fun neighborhood near vineyards (you can walk to one!), and 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville. Please reach out with any questions! Thank you.

A little bit about us

We're seeking an experienced, warm, and engaging full-time nanny to care for our two boys (ages 4 years and 11 months) in the Forest Lakes neighborhood of Charlottesville, VA, during the upcoming academic year (August 2026–May 2027), with a break from mid-December through early January.

Our family values kindness, curiosity, creativity, and learning through play. We're looking for someone who enjoys reading with children, spending time outdoors, creating arts and crafts projects, going to libraries, playgrounds, and planning engaging, educational activities that encourage exploration and development.

Responsibilities include providing attentive, nurturing care; preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children; transporting them to local activities and appointments; assisting with light child-related housekeeping and laundry; and providing occasional care for our small, friendly dog.

The schedule is approximately Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with some flexibility depending on our final work schedules. Our 4-year-old attends preschool daily from 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m., so mornings will primarily focus on caring for our infant, with afternoons spent with both children.

Compensation ranges from $28-32/hour, depending on experience, and includes paid time off, sick leave, and overtime pay. Qualified candidates must have CPR and First Aid certification, reliable transportation with a clean driving record, fluency in English, and substantial experience caring for infants and toddlers. A background in early childhood education, education, child development, nursing, or a related field is welcome but not required.
