A little bit about us

I work from home and am expected to return to work in November, I will be in the house but I will be on call/ working from home. He is a happy baby, not fussy. By the time we start he will be 4 months old. Starting interviews the 1st week of October and will have a start date two weeks before I go back to work. The starting two weeks to get into a schedule ( Oct 21st- Nov 1st); expected responsibilities:
Watching the baby, changing, feeding, tummy time, ect.
Light house work like shifting the laundry and some dishes, especially bottles.
I may ask you to warm up lunch or something similar for me while I work, but not cook.
Will be paying between 15 and 17 an hour.
Will pay more for a Spanish speaker to communicate with the baby in Spanish,
Will pay more for house keeping/ will pay less to eliminate housework.
Don’t expect you to drive the baby anywhere but if you have a license and car, will pay more for rare driving (pharmacy runs/ lunch runs/ coffee runs)

This job would be perfect for a student attending UCF main campus, who takes classes in the morning. I don’t mind you studying while he sleeps as long ask your tasks are done/ done regularly.

Additional family:
We have one cat who is a doll, no biting only cuddles.
I have two dogs: a pit bull and German Shepard. You’ll have to be comfortable with them.

I also have a 4 year old step daughter who will not be around 99% of the time. However there may be an odd circumstance where she needs to be home on a Friday, which you’ll have to be comfortable with. We can discuss additional compensation beforehand if that pops up.

Text me if you’re available [phone number hidden]

A little bit about us

We are a humble family of three, with our 4-month-old daughter being the newest addition. We are seeking a caregiver 2-3 days a week to help with day-to-day care (Feeds, diaper changes, play time, etc.). My husband works from home, but naturally it can be rather challenging balancing both work & daddy duties equally, so we are hopeful to meet someone that can just offer Love & daily care needs for our lil' nugget :-) Our ideal nanny would be fun loving, kind, honest and flexible. We are very hands on and view this position as more of a partnership, as we would enjoy tag-teaming duties as much as time will allow in between work. *Side Note: Must also love Dogs :-) We can't wait to meet you!!!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Orlando, FL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Orlando, FL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Orlando, FL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
