About our family: We are a blended family of 9 with 4 kids currently in our home (17, 10, 6 and & 14 weeks). I work from home in my office as a nurse CDI analyst for Cleveland clinic hospitals in Ohio and my husband is also a nurse whom works in EP at St. Marys Hospital. Care needed would be majority for our baby Baylor whom is 16 weeks. Care includes keeping up with his schedule and routines with diapering, feeding, napping and entertaining per developmental age. For our 6 & 10 yr old they will need breakfast with lunch packed for school and walked to bus stop in the morning. On breaks & days off from school they’ll need care with engaged activities & meals. Some minor housekeeping with dishes and keeping house tidy during the work day. Assisting with walking our dog Maxwell as needed. I will be home and able to assist with needs as well between work obligations. May need to be somewhat flexible on occasion to variable work hours due to my work education/schedule for training purposes. Rare but does happen occasionally.

A little bit about us
I need someone who loves being with children, loves to play games, be outside, go to the pool, build Legos, do art projects and science projects, and will clean up after themselves.
Most days you will only be with the 1 year old but on Saturdays you will have both kids. Sometimes I might need you to pick the 5 year old up from camp.
If you speak Spanish or French, that is a plus because I'd love for my kids to learn at a young age.
I'd want the dog and baby to be taken on at least one walk a day.
I am looking for someone that comes to work with ideas of what to do with the kids rather than come to work hoping to get homework done.
I do not like my kids watching TV so you need to be someone that will and wants to engage with the kids.
We have a nationhood pool and I'd love for the kids to go with you!
Our 1 year old is already running and does not like to sit still so you need to be an active person.
I would expect you to clean up whatever mess is made while you are at our house such as clean the dishes created while you were working, sweep the kitchen floor, wipe down the kitchen counter and highchair, and wash the bottles. Unloading the dishwasher if it is clean would be greatly appreciated!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Midlothian, VA
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in Midlothian, VA
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Midlothian, VA? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
