A little bit about us

We are seeking a family with an infant boy/girl to join our nannyshare. Our nanny has worked for us 6 months, takes COVID precautions very seriously, and is WONDERFUL with our 10 month old daughter. We are seeking a family because our prior nannyshare family decided to enroll their son in daycare for family reasons. They have written a glowing recommendation of our nanny who truly loves children. We are looking for a family:
-With an infant boy/girl about our daughter’s age (10 months)
-That follows CDC recommendations regarding COVID
-That can provide our nanny with paid federal holidays, 2 weeks vacation, and 1 week sick leave
-Needs 8 hours of childcare M-F
-Rate is $14/hour per family.
If interested, please DM me.

A little bit about us

My husband and I are working professionals, and he travels for work about 1-2 weeks a month. We both take the train to work, so we are looking for someone who is able to come to our home in Alexandria.

We have a 1yr daughter, Morgan, and are expecting our second child this July. Thus, we are looking for someone to start September/October when I go back to work.

Morgan is a very outgoing, happy child. She loves to laugh, dance, and meeting new people. On walks, she is constantly waving at everyone that we pass. Her favorite artists are Aretha Franklin and Ariana Grande. Morgan is close to walking but confidently climbs stairs and is constantly on the move.

Flexibility is very important to us, especially when Brian is on travel. Typical schedule will be normal working hours (8-5), but we are flexible with this. Also, a plus would be someone who could work until 6:30 on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays so that we may attend a yoga class at our gym. Our nanny should be able to climb a flight of stairs and also be comfortable with dogs (we have a small very friendly dog).

Our family leads an active lifestyle. Brian and I run long distance races; we love to go hiking/camping; and can often be found in out in VA winecountry. We also travel both domestically as well as internationally.

We also have a second home in Hilton Head, SC that is walking distance to the beach. Although not a requirement, a plus would be someone who is able to, on occasion, travel with us there in a work/vacation capacity.

A little bit about us

My husband and I are both first time parents to a baby girl who is due on June 1! Although I'm lucky enough to work a full-time hybrid job, I am expected to go back to work by mid-July. We're looking for a caregiver to watch our daughter on Mondays from 8am until 7:30pm and then more flexible hours on Wednesday and Thursday (probably around 9am through 6pm). If we find a family with compatible needs, we would be happy to offer our home to host childcare. We don't have any pets, and we do have a car for transportation as needed.

A little bit about us

We are looking for a kind, self-motivated nanny, who thinks of unique ways to enrich our child, who is just two months old. We are looking for 40 hours a week. This is our second daughter, with our first being 2 years old and in school.

Our previous nanny has said we are the best family she's ever worked for, but unfortunately she changed her career and we are sad to lose her!

The most important thing to us is our child’s emotional development. We are looking for somebody who understands even a baby is a person and to allow our child to express her emotions in a healthy and expanding way.

What is an Infant Nanny in Alexandria, VA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Alexandria, VA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
