A little bit about us

Hi there! Our little girls name is Solana. She's gestational about 3 months old and getting cuter everyday. We are adjusting to our new lives as parents and trying to juggle work and finding it a bit difficult. We are looking for someone with a kind positive attitude to come watch her / help around the house for a couple hours a day. Duties would included watching Sol, diaper changes, feedings, etc. to maybe some light house clean up like cleaning / putting away dishes. Just having an extra pair of hands for a little sounds like it would really help. Hours are still to be determined but maybe we start with 2 hours a day, 5 days a week.

A little bit about us

Hi there! We are inquiring about a possible nanny for our 2 infant twins children starting in January 2025. We have a 2 year old daughter now- she will be almost 3 by the time care starts. She will attend a preschool, but there may be days where she is also at home and needs to be cared for as well. The job would be to care for all the infant twins (they will be 5 months old) 3x a week for 8 hours a day. As I said above, there may be times when care is also needed for our 2.5 year old.

You would care for them in our home, which is located in Sabre Springs in Poway. I am a school teacher and my husband is an accountant. My husband works from home and will be there while you watch them, but most of the time he will be very preoccupied with work.

We are looking for someone who wishes to work 3 full days a week from roughly 8AM-4:30 PM. Weekly work days would be Tuesday-Thursday. Responsibilities would include following the schedules for feedings and naps, playing with the girls, entertaining and playing with the twins, snuggling and getting outside for a walk around the neighborhood. There may be light house work or laundry while babies naps. We are looking for someone that is energetic, positive, hardworking, and has experience caring for infants.

I am returning to work full time in summer of 2025 and while this is currently a part time position (27 hours a week), it will turn into a full time position come next year.

A little bit about us

We have a sweet 5 month old who will need occasional sitters while I’m at work. We will need someone for around 5 hours two times a week with the potential for more hours. We’re looking for someone with infant experience who is also dog friendly as we have two dogs. My work schedule rotates 4 days off with 2 days on so the schedule varies. We’d love to have someone flexible who could be with him most of the time with the occasional back-up due to the ever changing days we need him watched.

Our family lifestyle is fun while keeping it minimal and active. We have a curious, sweet nine month old son who loves to eat and be around people. We are using cloth all-in-one diapers and try to go the organic route when possible. We are interested in a nanny share and flexible about using our home or another family's during the week. We have struck gold with our nanny Melissa, she truly loves children, is punctual, and CPR certified. Please contact us if we seem like a good fit.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in San Diego, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in San Diego, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in San Diego, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
