The Kim-Osman Family - Hiring in West Hollywood
The Kim-Osman Family
Central LA, West Hollywood$22/hr  |  1 kid
Hello! We have a little girl arriving at the end of May and are looking for a nanny share starting sometime in the early fall. Our 2.5 year old son was in a nanny share between the ages of 3 months and 2 years old and it was an incredible experience. It did wonders for our son's development and we want to set up a similar situation for our daughter.

Our son is now 2.5 and in preschool full time so the nanny share would be for the new baby with occasional coverage when our son needs it. We have had an incredible experience sharing a nanny and are looking for another family to start with us in the fall either part-time or full-time. We don't currently have a nanny and are open to interviewing together or using your vetted nanny.

We are located on De Longpre Ave between Sweetzer and Harper and are open to splitting time between our place and the other family's home or are happy to host full time or having our baby at your place full time. Hours would be roughly 8:30-5:30 although we have the ability to work from home anytime and can be pretty flexible. Ideally, our nanny would be available for extended hours occasionally or for the odd night or weekend event. If the nanny can assist with pick ip or drop offs, that would be wonderful although not required.

Since we have done a nanny share before, we are fully equipped to handle two infants and have double strollers and double everything. Please not that the budget was for the entire nanny share for our son, which we split with another family. We imagine the rates may be different and are flexible. Feel free to reach out any time. :)

How to Find an Infant Care Job in West Hollywood, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in West Hollywood, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in West Hollywood, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
