A little bit about us

Hello! My wife and I are looking for a long term nanny for our 9-month-old baby girl beginning in July 2022. My husband works 3 days a week at home and 2 days in the office, and I work full time on a biweekly schedule. We also have a dog who's super sweet. The schedule that we're looking for is Mon-Thurs week one, Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat
(saturdays are optional/negotiable) week two, then it rotates from there; it'll be for 28-35 hrs per week depending on your available on saturdays.

We're looking for someone who's responsible, sufficient experience with infants, caring, good with arts/crafts is a plus, and definitely smoke/drug-free among other traits. Responsibilities would include: caring/playing with our daughter, following a feed and nap schedule, creative workshops (arts/crafts/planting or potting plants, etc), washing bottles, baby's laundry, playing ball, and help with baby food prep/planning.

Also, we'll be using a payroll service for payment. If you think you're a good fit for our family, we'd love to hear from you!

A little bit about us

Hi! I work in sales and my wife runs a small business. We are expecting our first child in February, 2022! After her arrival, we plan to take at least six weeks off to care and bond with her. Unfortunately, we will have to get back to work. We would love to share a nanny with another loving family five days a week. The best times would be Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm, or 8:30am to 5:30pm. Our expectations is to find someone who truly loves kids and knows how to take care of infants. Plus, we have a little Pomeranian named, Dusty! He’s loves playing and being around people.

Looking forward to the next chapter in our lives!

Hey!

I'm looking for a nanny who could be at my house 2 to 3 times a week for about 5-6 hour shifts.

We have a 2-year-old and a 2-month-old and need assistance during the witching hour while I am away on business. Responsibilities would likely remain within the house or taking my 2 year old to the park across the street.

Would need help with basic cleaning (related to the children), help with cooking, and care for the children

How to Find an Infant Care Job in San Diego, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in San Diego, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in San Diego, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
