A little bit about us

Hello there!
We're a friendly family in South Durham (Hope Valley North) on the lookout for a nanny share arrangement for our adorable 7-month-old daughter starting in January.
Location:
· South Durham (Hope Valley North).
· We're open to hosting the nanny share at our home or alternating between locations, whichever suits best.
· Ideally, we'd like to find a family within a 15-minute drive.
Hours:
· Full-time care needed Monday to Friday, roughly within the typical 8-5 window.
· Our work schedules have some flexibility, so we're open to adjusting the hours to accommodate your needs.
· If a family requires part-time care (30-35 hours per week), we're open to discussing this option as well.
Cost/Pay:
· We're planning to offer our nanny a competitive rate of $24-$30 per hour, to be split between both families based on the number of children.
· We’d like to offer guaranteed hours, sick leave, and paid time off as part of our compensation package, and we'll also provide funds for activities outside the home (zoos, museums, etc.).
· We're committed to adhering to tax laws and will utilize a payroll service for proper documentation.
Children:
· Our nanny share will include 1-2 children, ideally close in age to our 7-month-old daughter.
Start Date:
· We'd like to start at the beginning of January, there is some flexibility.
Term:
· We're looking for a long-term commitment, ideally a family willing to commit for at least 9 months initially, with the intention to extend if our arrangement is mutually beneficial.
Vaccines:
· Our daughter is following the recommended pediatric vaccination schedule, and we'd prefer to work with another family who shares this commitment.
Childcare Philosophy:
· We envision our nanny share to incorporate Montessori and gentle/conscious parenting approaches, with an emphasis on outdoor play. If you're like-minded in your parenting style, we're eager to connect!
Pets:
· We two kitties; therefore, we're seeking a family without pet allergies.
