A little bit about us
We’re looking for part-time, after-school care for our 5 year-old son. He is a loving, affectionate, and energetic child with special needs (Autism). We’re hoping to find someone who can be a consistent and caring presence for him and our family long-term.
Schedule:
• Monday–Friday, 1:00 pm–6:00 pm
• School pick-up from Porter Ridge Elementary, then care at home and/or transport to activities.
Responsibilities:
• School/aftercare pick-up and safe transportation home or to extracurricular activities
• Helping with structured play
• Providing meals and snacks as needed
• Light housework related to his care
• Supporting him with therapies, library visits, or playground outings as appropriate
Requirements:
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation (safety is very important to us)
• CPR and First Aid certified
• Experience with children with developmental delays, especially Autism
• Genuine passion for working with children—someone who will treat our son with patience, kindness, and care as if he were family

Primary Responsibilities (Toddler-Focused):
- Provide engaged, attentive in-home care for our 3-year-old
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities — outdoor play, crafts, reading, sensory play, etc.
- Prepare or warm up light meals and snacks
- Handle kids’ laundry
- Light tidying of children’s spaces
Weekly Out-of-Home Schedule (our vehicle provided):
• Mondays — Transport and stay with our toddler at homeschool co-op (2–3 hours, starting Fall)
• Wednesdays — Transport and supervise our 11-year-old at homeschool co-op (2–3 hours, starting Fall)
• Thursdays — Take toddler to Storytime at the local library
- You will use our personal vehicle — no mileage reimbursement needed
Regarding Our 11-Year-Old:
He is largely self-sufficient and does not require hands-on care. You would simply provide general supervision when he is outside or out of the home, and accompany him at co-op on Wednesdays.
What We’re Looking For:
- Genuinely enjoys spending time with toddlers and keeping them engages
- Energetic, patient, and comfortable with active little ones
- Comfortable driving children in a family vehicle with a clean driving record
- Experience with toddlers strongly preferred
- Familiarity with neurodivergent children a plus (not required)
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
- Non-smoker
Compensation & Benefits:
- $1,600/month take home pay.
- W-2 issued annually — legitimate household employment, not contractor/1099.
- Consistent Monday–Friday schedule, no nights or weekends.
