A little bit about us

We are looking for a fun, trustworthy and loving person to help take care of our two little boys (ages 2.5-years and 4 months) in the evenings while our nanny is out on maternity leave. The position will begin September 7th and continue until November 12th. I work from home and will do the daycare/preschool pickups but need someone to help me watch them for a few hours after that so I can continue working. Responsibilities will include making dinner, playtime, baths and some light housework. The schedule would be Monday through Friday from 5-8 pm each day. There may also be an opportunity for some weekend work (date nights). We have two cats so must be comfortable with pets. My husband and I are both fully vaccinated.

2 kids under 2. We currently need a nanny for 2 days out of the week as of now. Once we trust the nanny enough we would be open to more hours. We need an individual whose flexible with work hours. Some days one parent may get home early in which the nanny is free to leave early. Some weeks we may need one day rather than two work days. Both kids are easy and love going for walks, park, arts & crafts as well.

A little bit about us

Our son, Brandon is a little over 5 months old. He is a happy child that requires some more hands-on attention due to him not crawling yet. He likes to play and go on walks. Both my wife and I work for the Burbank Unified School District. I go to work from 8am to 2pm and my wife works from 8:30 to 3:30 M-F. We have a small dog, Lucille, who loves everyone. She is friendly and easy going. This is our first child and we are learning new things as we go. Brandon is a great child and is very welcoming to new people. We would want someone to stay at our apartment with Brandon and the dog while we were at work. Both Brandon and Lucille love walks and then taking a big nap after. We would love to meet someone to help with our child so we can successfully go to work.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Burbank, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Burbank, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Burbank, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
