A little bit about us…

We are looking for a nanny for our baby girl that will be coming mid October 2024. We would like to start meeting with potential Nannie’s to ensure we have care starting in November / December 2024.

The hours would be M, W, F 8-5pm but we are flexible if 7:00-4:00pm is better etc. we have a very gentle and calm yellow lab named Pudge who’s 7 years old.

My husband would be home but mainly working on calls in the office. I would be going into work those days and typically leave for work around 8:00am and then wouldn’t get home until 6:00pm.

We’d love someone who can do laundry; wash dishes and do household cleaning while the baby sleeps.

A little bit about us…

Dual active duty military: one parent is currently separating and has extremely flexible hours that aren't on an everyday basis, the other has a regular schedule. Baby is almost 4mo old, super happy, and pretty easy to work with: loves food and moving around. We have 3 cats and a handful of lizards, but there isn't anything to be done on the nanny's end regarding them.

The biggest thing is flexibility: I (the one separating) will never work a full day, as my life revolves around appointments.

A little bit about us…

Ethan is the happiest newborn you’ll ever meet and we are so blessed to have him. He’s a little guy but so strong. As first time parents (during a scary time) we are looking for someone we can trust who will love our little guy as much as we do. I am a high school teacher and my husband is a GIS analyst. We are looking for care 5 days a week for approximately 8 hours a day (7:30am-3:30pm) We can do all the pick up/drop offs. We don’t mind kind, friendly family pets as we have 2 loving dogs. As a new mother I am excited to meet someone who can keep our little guy safe and happy!

A little bit about us…

I am a full time student in college studying Accounting, Business Administration, and Economics. I will be graduating on June 6th and then transferring over to SDSU. I also have a part time job at the Cuyamaca College Financial Aid Department as a Cal Grant Assistant. My Fiancé works full time as an electrician. I need someone to watch my 2 year old, Roman, and 3 mo old, Royce, for just 3 1/2 hours a day [phone number hidden]). The newborn is a very good baby and the 2 year old can be a little stubborn especially towards new people as he is shy, but he warms up pretty fast if he is entertained. He also loves to play outside. I am a little bit of a germ freak. I always wash/sanitize Roman’s hands after playing outside or being at the store etc.

A little bit about us…

My wife and I are both full time professionals working weekdays only. I have a 10a-6p schedule and she has a 9a-5p schedule with one day a week shifted to Noon-8p. Our son Archer, born in March 2022, is a happy little boy who is very easygoing. We are seeking either a full-time nanny or a nanny share and are flexible with whether or not we need to drop off and pick up or allow you into our home to watch him. Just note that you must be okay with dogs if you wish to come to care for Archie in our home. Our dog, Moose is a very friendly bulldog mix who is about 8 years old. He is a favorite among every dog lover we know and has even won over some non-dog lovers.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in El Cajon, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in El Cajon, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in El Cajon, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
