A little bit about us

Hey there. I am a first time mommy so I am a bit over protective of my daughter and who’s watching her. She is very glued to me and is already spoiled rotten. She likes to be picked up all day and played with. She is on soft solids (some puréed) and I mostly give her fruits. She was born preemie but she is catching up perfectly. She sits up perfectly. She is currently working on crawling so it’s tummy time everyday for at least 30 minutes to an hour(or until she starts fussing). The most difficult thing is putting her to sleep. She fights her sleep big time. I have a lot of patience and want someone that’s the same. She also has screen times due to me not wanting her to watch tv all day. I don’t her to be a “tablet baby” but instead play with toys, learning toys, sensory, etc. With this crazy world we live in, it’s hard to trust someone watching my child so this is all new for me. I prefer someone who’s knows how to cook(puréed foods) and interact with a baby attentively and please have patience. This will be Monday-Friday from 6:30am-3pm(no weekends). She loves going outside so taking daily walks getting some fresh air is ideal. I do have a small pet(dog), named cookie. She is also overprotective of her little sister. Lol Cookie is a 1 year old Maltese-mixed. Coming over before the assignment starts is ideal so that my daughter and my dog can warm up to you. I want someone who is bubbly, energetic, and over the top nice as I am. I am very big on communication so I will be calling just to check in with the house often to help ease my anxiety.

A little bit about us

Hi! We’re currently looking for a nanny to support our 13-month-old son in our home.

Schedule:
• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
• 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM
• Approximately 10 hours per week

Care will take place in our home. Dad works from home and will be present but offsite in a separate workspace during the morning.

We value a Montessori-inspired approach (independent play, child-led exploration, language-rich interaction). Spanish fluency is a big plus, as we’d love to expose him to Spanish regularly.

We’re looking for someone warm, attentive, and experienced with toddlers who can support developmentally appropriate play, snacks, and a consistent routine.

We are looking to begin interviews and host a meet-and-greet on March 6. If you’re interested and available, please reach out with your experience, references, and availability. We’d love to connect!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Gardena, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Gardena, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Gardena, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
