We're looking for a part-time sitter/nanny as a supplemental care option.
The schedule can be flexible, and there are several ways we can make it work. For example:
* Spend couple of hours on Wednesdays and Fridays (e.g., 4:00 -- 7:00 pm), and half-day on Saturday or Sunday. Ability to pickup or drop off to day care would be a big plus.
* Another option would be to spend two full working days, in that case we can reduce day care to be 3 days instead of 5 days.
* We'd also expect help during some holidays or break when day care is fully closed.
We both are working parent, and live in San Carlos. We have couple of small dogs, so we need someone who is comfortable/friendly with the dogs.

Oliver is a very sweet, smiley and happy interactive little boy. He is thus far quite an easy child.
Our top priorities for someone caring for Oliver is that they will be punctual always, caring and loving towards him at all times, and try to adhere to a feeding / nap / play schedule that is normal for a child of his age.
We don't have any specific pick-up of drop-off needs as of now, but that may change throughout the course of the year in 2025. We also have no pets which also may change.

The hours we would need childcare would be from approximately 8am-8pm 1-2 days a week (the days would vary based on my work schedule as a nurse, but would know the days in advance).
We also have a very loving golden retriever dog.
Thank you!!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in San Carlos, CA
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in San Carlos, CA
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in San Carlos, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
