We’re looking for a loving and experienced nanny for our 3-month-old in Solana Beach. My husband goes into the office most weekdays, and I work from home, so we are looking for help Monday through Thursday during my working hours.

Details:
* Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7 AM – 2 PM
* Occasional weekends for date nights

Ideal Candidate:
* Experience caring for infants
* Reliable, nurturing, and attentive
* Non-smoker
* Good with pets
* Comfortable with light baby-related tasks (bottle prep, tidying baby’s space)
* Spanish as a primary or secondary language is a plus!

About us: We keep a very tidy/organized house. My husband and I enjoy cooking, exercising, and dinner with friends on weekends. We have a medium-sized black lab named Pepper who is very friendly.

Thanks so much for your interest!

A little bit about us

We are looking for a loving nanny to care of our 7-month-old baby boy on Mondays and Wednesdays. We would like someone who can stay with us long-term as we grow our family. The ideal candidate will connect well with both our child and us, be experienced in early childhood care, and create a safe, stimulating, and caring environment. Both parents work full-time, hybrid (in-office/in-home) schedules. We are active (swim, surf, run, horseback ride), family-oriented, and believe in loving, respectful parenting with boundaries set for children.

A little bit about us

I'm Sara, and my husband Jason and I are in our early 30s, living in Solana Beach. We're first-time parents to our 8.5 month old son, Jonny, who is just the happiest baby ever. We also have two beloved pets, a Great Dane named Blue and a Bengal cat named Sushi. We've been lucky to have an amazing nanny who's been with us since Jonny was 4 months old. We're now looking to connect with another family in North County who has an infant around the same age for a nanny share, 7 to 12 months but flexible with the right family. I work remotely, so we'd love to host at our house or alternate between homes during the week. We are very easy going parents and are looking for another happy, loving family that wants to provide a safe and fun environment for the babies to grow and learn! We are hoping to find someone who would commit to the nanny share until the babies are at least 2 years old.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Solana Beach, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Solana Beach, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Solana Beach, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
