Youngest is a baby girl who is 4 months and the oldest is a boy and he is going on 4 this summer. Main things we are looking for is for someone who would be willing to help with easy cooking , light cleaning around the house, and to help entertain our 4-year-old for the most part as the baby takes up most of my wife's attention. A little bit about us

We're a soon to be family of 4 and will need a nanny once my husband and I go back to work. We both work from home and will be around.

I'm looking for an experienced caregiver for our son who will be around 6 months old at the time we will need care. I also have a 3.5 year old who will be almost 4, but she goes to school.

It's also important to note that we have 2 cats so someone who is not allergic is needed.

A little bit about us

Our baby will be 6 months by the time we need a Nanny. He is a very easy going and chill baby. Only cries when he's hungry or tired mostly. Very cute and smiles a ton. He just needs the full care that an infant would need like feeding, nap, play time.

We would need someone that is open to a flexible schedule because of our jobs. Both parents work remote, but some weeks we would need a full time nanny. Schedule can change a bit per week or could be on-call.

Weds/Thurs - 8 hours - 8:30 a.m. -430 p.m.

Fri - 5-6 hours 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or after depending on our job work load that day.

Mon/Tues - on call. There will be weeks where will would need the Nanny all 5 weekdays full time and she needs to be flexible with that or being on call week before or during week.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in West Covina, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in West Covina, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in West Covina, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
