A little bit about us

Hello!

My name is Jaclyn and my littles are Luke (8), Abigail (6), and Genevieve (3).

We are looking for a part-time, on-call nanny for days when one or more of these kiddos are unable to go to school.

They all attend full-time school but will need care when they have a minor sickness (cold, pink eye, etc.) or vacation time.

A little bit about us

We are a two-mom family currently expecting our first child at the end of March. We're looking for a part-time nanny (20-25 hours/wk) who has specific experience with providing newborn/infant care. Our start date is TBD, but likely between June and July 2024. Exact time frames per day are estimated and may vary. Hourly pay can adjust depending on experience and/or to fit a weekly or monthly total.

The best nanny for us will first and foremost be knowledgable about newborn needs (diapering, play time, bottle feeding breast milk, health warning signs, naps/safe sleeping, etc.). A great fit would also be comfortable with light housework (dishes, tidying, baby laundry) and meal/snack preparation. Our nanny must have their own car, be CPR and First Aid certified, and up-to-date on current vaccinations.

We would also love our little one to get exposure to nature. Our back yard is lovely, but depending on circumstances we may be interested in our nanny taking some outdoor trips (e.g. park, picnic). As our child grows up, someone with a creative mind and ability to plan fun age-appropriate activities and/or outings is a must! Reading and learning developmentally appropriate skills is also important to us.

We work from home, with one of us going into the office once a week. This means our ideal nanny will be comfortable knowing we are in the house with them, and won't be opposed to us visiting baby periodically during the day.

If we sound like a good fit for you, please don't hesitate to reach out!

A little bit about us

We are looking for a wonderful nanny to work with our smiley and joyful little girl, Didion, who is turning 1 in August.
We both work from home in Mar Vista a mile from the beach in Venice, but sometimes we are at the office.
Prefer to have someone here Monday through Thursday from mid-morning to around 4pm each day but open to working with your schedule.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone enthusiastic to do a variety of fun and educational things with her like walks, beach days, park and the museum (she just started walking!), but also creative activities and crafts at our home, where she can explore and be out in our nature.
I lived in Panama for a few years and speak Spanish (though I am a bit rusty!) so if you do speak Spanish, we'd love our daughter to have you speak some Spanish to her, too, if possible. When she is napping, we will need you to do light housework like clean up the kitchen, her dishes and play area as well as do her laundry and ensure her toys, etc. are tidy.
We are looking for our new nanny to be a true friend and support to us. We are kind, easy-going, have our daughter on a pretty simple routine with food, play, and naps but promise we aren't at all militant. We're really excited to hopefully connect with our new wonderful nanny soon!

A little bit about us

We are looking for a part-time nanny immediately (M-F, 2-7pm) for after-preschool care for our energetic 2.5-year old daughter. Will need car to pick-up from Montessori preschool in Pacific Palisades. Light housekeeping and dinner-prep would be ideal.

We are expecting a baby boy in December so we will expand to 40+ hours per week in January.

Our rate is ~$25/hour now (1 child) and will increase to ~$30-35/hour with the new baby.

Both parents are UCLA professors and very COVID-conscious (vaccination is a requirement).

A little bit about us

Hello! I am Kamaria (“Kam”) and a new mom to my son Cruz😊
He is my pride and joy! Such a great baby, he is very advanced for his age walked at 8 months and is super interactive. He is eating solid foods (organic) and drinks toddler formula. He is such an amazing baby truly, he is not fussy or cries unless he is hungry or sleepy honestly. So much personality always happy, laughing and affectionate! He likes to read, loves to dance, watch boss baby and Disney lol, take walks outside and hangout by the pool. No cooking is needed as his food is prepared already. I keep our home super clean so minimum housekeeping needed. No store runs or errands necessary as I keep everything fully stocked. I am looking to transition back to very soon as I’ve have been home with him since he was born last year. His father and I work in the fashion industry with flexible schedules, we work 5 days a week with 2 days off and our schedule changes weekly but we know it well in advance. Someone with an open and flexible schedule is important, that can work at least 8 hrs a day. I am looking for someone trustworthy, playful, attentive who genuinely loves children, has ALOT of experience with toddlers, CPR trained and first aid trained. *25+ in age preferred as we’d like someone with a lot of life experience😊.
We are looking for someone to become part of our little family. We are very loving and put so much care into raising our son. Our home is your home when you’re here. All amenities available to you (pool, gym, office, clubhouse)
If interested please feel free to message me! I’d prefer you come and meet my family to chat and see how Cruz adjusts around someone new, see if there is a connection of course😊
We can even have you babysit for a few hours to see if you feel comfortable with our baby and home.

Thanks so much!
Kam and family

Types of Nanny Jobs and Nanny Responsibilities in Los Angeles, CA

Before you start looking for a nanny job, it's essential to learn about the different types of nannies and how they compare to each other so that you make sure you’re looking for the right opportunities.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Los Angeles. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions , it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.
