Presently, we are looking for a full-time, live-in, care professional to join our family. The ideal candidate would have prior experience working as a live-in care professional, caring for two or more children at the same time, and have experience working with neurodiverse children, such as children with high-functioning autism and ADD.
We are looking for a care professional who:
Loves kids
Can help us run our household and keep things running smoothly for the kids.
Is energetic and fun, with a good sense of humor
Is patient, caring, empathetic
Has some previous experience working with young kids with high-functioning autism, attention issues, behavior challenges (strong willed, defiant, inattentive), and with patience and care, motivate the child and de-escalate conflict
Is responsible and organized
Has a driver’s license and proven record of responsible driving
Is someone who does not mind helping with family assistant tasks like shopping, tidying up after the kids, and doing laundry
A detailed list of responsibilities is below, but the big ones include facilitating the children's morning and bedtime routines, providing care and supervision of the children when they are sick and cannot go to school or daycare, driving the kids to/from school, daycare, appointments/therapies, playdates, related events/activities, meal prep, tidying, supervising play as necessary and playing with the kids, taking them to the park/playgrounds, and helping the oldest child integrate skills learned in his therapies.
