Barron Park, Palo Alto$30/hr  |  1 kid
Hello! My wife and I are moving up to Palo Alto from Orange County and will be in need of a full time nanny starting late July, 2022. We plan to have our son start some type of school at 2 years of age, around February 2023. Because of that, we are anticipating him having to be home frequently because of illness or the school being shut down periodically due to Covid exposure at that time. As such, we will want to keep our nanny on with us beyond the time when our son goes to school to help with supplemental care. Those details will be arranged at a later date.

Our son will be about a year and a half by the time you meet him in late July. He's very active and very energetic, usually pretty easy-going, and with no special needs. He has a curious a sweet disposition and everyone loves him! My wife and I are from San Francisco originally, and we're moving back up to the area to be closer to our families.

We're looking for a full time nanny who will truly be a member of our household. The hours would be 8 AM to 4 PM every week day. You would get all federal holidays off, 10 days of vacation per year, and 5 (non-Covid) sick days. The duties would include typical baby-related things like diapering, cleaning the baby room, taking the baby out to explore the world, various baby activities, feeding (including some light cooking/meal prep) and the bottle (if applicable), and other usual things.

Both my wife and I work from home, with each of us having to travel periodically for work. We would prefer someone with a personality and work style that fits with that (i.e., someone who can be quiet when necessary, and doesn't need a lot of direction).

Thanks very much for reading, and we look forward to meeting you!
